The snack is a puree of boiled beans with garlic, salt and spices. The special Armenian bean paste is obtained thanks to tomato sauce. Sometimes fresh or dried tomatoes are used instead.
Ingredients
- Red Beans - 400 g
- Walnuts - half a glass
- Tomato sauce - 1 tbsp.l.
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Hop-suneli - 0,5 tsp.
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Water - 1,5 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pre-soak the red beans for 4 hours in cold water.
Flip into a colander, rinse and transfer to a saucepan with fresh water. Boil for 40 minutes.
Drain the liquid, cool the beans to room temperature.
Chop boiled beans and nuts in a blender.
Add tomato sauce, suneli hops, salt, garlic passed through the press and mix well.
