According to tradition, a fresh sour apple goes to the Jewish forshmak. If you want to make it piquant, you can use soaked fruits. But there is another option! I suggest today to cook a forshmak with an apple baked in the oven!
Ingredients
- Herring (fillet) – 500 g
- Apples - 2 pieces
- Chicken eggs - 3 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- White bread - 3 slices
- Yogurt - 2 tbsp.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Soak the bread in yogurt and boil the eggs until tender.
Cut out the middle of the apples, wrap in foil and bake for 25 minutes at 190 degrees.
Peel the apples and pass all the ingredients through a meat grinder. Stir the forshmak.
