Often a hearty snack is served on the New Year's table. I suggest not to wait for the holidays and cook your favorite dish this weekend. Try to cook a jelly from pork legs and chicken. This recipe has never failed me.
Ingredients
- Pork legs - 2 pieces
- Chicken (2-2.5 kg) – 1 carcass
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Black Pepper - 4 peas
- Mustard Seeds - 0,5 tsp.
- Salt - 1 art.l.
- Water - 3,5 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Scrape the pork legs with a knife and soak for 3 hours in cold water.
Cut the chicken into four pieces and rinse.
Put the legs and chicken in a saucepan, add spices, water and cook for 4 hours on low heat.
Add the peeled onion and cook for another 30 minutes.
Remove the chicken, pork legs and onion from the broth. Discard the onion, cool the meat, separate from the bones and finely chop.
Strain the broth, add salt and boil for 2 minutes.
Put the meat in the prepared containers, pour the broth and put it in a cool place for 6 hours.
