Step-by-step cooking recipe
Mix half of the water with 100 g of sugar and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and cool to 35-40 degrees.
Sort the oats, rinse and put them in a jar.
Add raisins and warm water. Cover with gauze and put it in a dark warm place for 4 days.
Strain through cheesecloth. Pour out the liquid, return the oats back to the jar.
Melt the remaining sugar in a frying pan.
Boil the remaining water, mix with fried sugar and cool to 40 degrees.
Pour warm water into a jar of oats and insist at room temperature for another 4 days. After this time, the kvass will be ready.
