Kvass is usually made from sourdough, water, malt, sugar and a wide variety of additives. But nowadays there are many more original recipes. For example, such kvass from raisins and coffee has such an unusual aftertaste that it is simply impossible to confuse it with anything.
Ingredients
- Water - 2.5-3 l
- Instant coffee - 1 tsp.
- Raisins - 30 g
- Dry yeast - 5 g
- Sugar - 220 g
- Citric acid - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Heat the water to about 35-40 degrees.
Pour into a jar and add sugar, coffee, raisins and citric acid. Mix thoroughly.
Add yeast and mix again.
Cover the jar with gauze and leave it warm for 4 hours.
When bubbles appear in the drink, strain the kvass, bottle it and cool it.
