Nothing quenches thirst better than kvass. With each sip you are filled with strength, get a charge of cheerfulness and good mood! This wonderful drink can be made at home. You will need black bread, dry yeast and some other ingredients.
Ingredients
- Black Bread (rye) – 300 g
- Dry yeast - 1 art.l.
- Sugar - half a glass
- Raisins - handful
- Water (filtered) – 3 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the black bread into cubes, put it on a baking sheet and dry for 10 minutes in the oven at a temperature of 60 degrees.
Place the resulting crackers in a glass jar and pour two liters of boiling water.
In a separate container, mix dry yeast and warm water.
After 15 minutes, pour yeast water into a jar with breadcrumbs and mix well.
Put the container in a warm place, cover with a towel and leave for 2 days.
Strain the liquid through cheesecloth, add sugar and washed raisins. Insist kvass for another day.
