The main secret of such apricot compote is that it is smoked pear that goes here. It gives a completely different taste and aroma, compared to fresh. It turns out something in between compote and uzvar. And with spices it is delicious three times!
Ingredients
- Apricots - 600 g
- Pear (smoked) – 200 g
- Cinnamon - 2 sticks
- Star anise - 2 asterisks
- Brown Sugar - 150 g
- Water - 1.5-2 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the water with spices and sugar until the sugar dissolves.
Add apricot halves and smoked pear.
Cook the compote on low heat for another 15 minutes after re-boiling.
