Refreshing gooseberry mojito compote with mint and orange is the perfect drink for a hot day. The tartness of sour berries and citrus freshness are framed by a wonderful mint shade. This is a real firework of flavors and aromas!
Ingredients
- Gooseberry - 150 g
- Orange - 2 pieces
- Lime - 1 piece
- Mint - 3 twigs
- Sugar - 160 g
- Water - 3 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Sort the gooseberries, clean them from dry tails and rinse.
Scald oranges, lime with boiling water and cut into thick circles.
Lightly mash the mint with your hands.
Boil water, add gooseberries, citrus fruits, mint and cook for 5 minutes.
Turn off the heat, add sugar and stir. Insist the compote under the lid for 1 hour.
Strain, pour into prepared bottles and refrigerate.
