This sauce is my discovery! On the one hand, the combination of tomatoes and garlic is very simple, and on the other – it's just a win-win option. The sauce turns out with light Italian notes, so it is especially good with pasta and other Italian dishes.
Ingredients
- Cherry tomatoes - 7 pieces
- Purple onion - 1 piece
- Vegetable oil - 3 tsp.
- Italian herbs - 1 tsp.
- Sugar - 2 tsp.
- Basil - 4 leaves
- Garlic - 3 cloves
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the tomatoes and chop them in a blender.
Finely chop the onion and garlic.
Fry them in oil until transparent.
Pour in the tomato puree and add sugar.
Simmer the sauce for about 15 minutes until thick.
Add basil and spices.
After a minute, remove the sauce from the heat.
