This sauce is especially popular in Asian cuisine. The main ingredients are peanuts, chili peppers and canola oil. I couldn't find the latter, so I decided to use rapeseed oil. Some cooks replace it with coconut.
Ingredients
- Peanuts - 150 g
- Sesame - 3 art.l.
- Dried chili pepper - 3 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 clove
- Rapeseed oil - 3 tbsp.l.
- Balsamic vinegar - 2 tsp.
- Curry - 0,5 tsp.
- Salt - to taste
- Water (boiled) – 1 glass
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel onion and garlic, finely chop.
Heat the rapeseed oil in a frying pan, add dried pepper, sesame seeds, onion and garlic. Fry everything together for 6-8 minutes.
Remove the frying pan from the heat, cool the mass slightly and grind in a blender.
Fry peanuts in a dry frying pan and grind in a blender separately.
Mix both blanks, add water, salt, curry and vinegar. The sauce should be medium thick.
