If you want to cook herring under a fur coat according to a new recipe, add seaweed. My family liked this salad and we even came up with a decent name for it - "Sea Princess"!
Ingredients
- Herring (low salt) – 1 piece
- Beetroot (boiled) – 200 g
- Potatoes (boiled) – 200 g
- Carrots (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Sea cabbage - 150 g
- Mayonnaise - 180 ml
- Lemon zest - 0,5 tsp.
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the herring, gut and cut into small pieces.
Chop onion and seaweed with a knife, grate boiled vegetables.
Put the herring on a plate, then the onion and a layer of potatoes. Pepper, salt and smear with mayonnaise.
Add carrots, seaweed and sprinkle with lemon zest.
Spread the beets on top and smear with mayonnaise. If you are preparing a salad for the New Year, then with the help of dill and corn, you can lay out a Christmas tree with toys or come up with your own version.
Insist the salad for 1.5 hours in the refrigerator so that it is well soaked.
