Pre-rinse and soak the peas. Boil it in water or broth for an hour in soup mode.
Add the sliced potatoes and cook for another 20 minutes. After 10 minutes, add the remaining vegetables and ham.
At the very end, add the tomato paste and spices, stir the soup, boil for another 5 minutes and turn off.
