The classic herring under a fur coat with an egg has long been loved by us and has become a regular guest on the New Year's table. The holidays are ahead and I want to share with you a recipe that is adored in my family.
Ingredients
- Herring - 400 g
- Onion - 1 piece
- Potatoes - 3 pieces
- Beetroot - 2 pieces
- Carrots - 3 pieces
- Chicken eggs - 4 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 100 g
- Sour cream - 100 g
- Olive oil - 1 art.l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the egg for about 5 minutes. Wash the vegetables well, dry them. Put it on a baking sheet, pour olive oil and send it to bake for 20 minutes at 180C.
When the vegetables are cooked, peel them and grate them on a medium grater.
Peel the eggs and also grate them on a fine grater. Cut the onion into small cubes.
Mix sour cream and mayonnaise. Set aside and cook the fish.
Carve the herring, separate the bones, and cut the fillet into a small cube.
Assemble the salad. This salad is layered, so start with a layer of onions, then herring, potatoes, carrots, eggs and the last layer of beets. Smear each layer with sauce and send it to the refrigerator for a couple of hours to soak.
