I want to put not only delicious, but also beautiful treats on the festive table. For this reason, I always cook herring under a fur coat with pickles. The salad turns out to be very juicy and fragrant. Try it, I'm sure you'll like it!
Ingredients
- Herring (low salt) – 2 pieces
- Potatoes (boiled) – 300 g
- Beetroot (boiled) – 300 g
- Cucumbers (salty) – 200 g
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Carrots (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 4 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 250 ml
- Salt - to taste
- Ground black pepper - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the herring, gut it and cut it into small cubes.
Peel and finely chop the onion. Grate the remaining vegetables, pickles and eggs on a coarse grater.
Assemble the salad in layers in the following order: herring, onions, potatoes, pickles, carrots, eggs and beets. Salt, pepper and lubricate each layer with mayonnaise.
Decorate the top with patterns of mayonnaise or onion rings. Put the finished salad in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
