The original version of the pickle with dry peas is very different from the classic recipe. But it will definitely appeal to all lovers of diversity. I advise you to serve it with garlic crackers and herbs.
Ingredients
- Potatoes - 300 g
- Peas (dry split) – 60 g
- Pickled cucumbers - 120 g
- Carrots - 60 g
- Pearl barley - 70 g
- Water - 2 l
- Spices and seasonings - 1 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Soak the peas in advance for at least a few hours.
Pour boiling water, cook for 20 minutes and add pearl barley to it. Cook for another half an hour.
Add the sliced potatoes and cook for another 15 minutes.
During this time, fry the grated carrots and chop the cucumbers.
Put everything in a pickle, season to taste and bring to a boil.
If desired, partially or completely grind the mass with a blender.
