Fill the ribs with water and bring to a boil, and then cook for 2.5 hours on low heat. You can add vegetables, roots or spices for broth.
Add the chopped potatoes to the broth, and after 10 minutes - finely chopped cabbage.
Cut into thin strips or grate beets and carrots. Chop the onion. Peel the tomatoes and chop them finely.
Fry the beets for 5 minutes, add the onion, and after 2 minutes add the carrots.
After another 7-8 minutes, add tomatoes, tomato sauce and a glass of broth. Simmer the vegetables for 10 minutes.
Put the roast in a saucepan and boil the borscht a little more.
Add spices and crushed garlic, and let the borscht brew under the lid.
