The most delicious Spanish paella is traditionally obtained with seafood. For example, with squid. It is prepared quite differently from ordinary boiled rice, pilaf, risotto or other similar dishes. And what is its secret – read on in the recipe.
Ingredients
- Squid - 700 g
- Bell pepper - 1 piece
- Wine (dry white) – 0.5 glasses
- Tomatoes - 3 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 3 teeth
- Fish broth - 700 ml
- Olive oil - 3 art.l.
- Oregano - 0.5 tsp.
- Zira - 0.5 tsp.
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
- Basil - 1 bundle
- Fig - 2.5 glasses
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the squid into strips and marinate in spices.
Finely chop the onion, pepper, garlic and tomatoes. Fry the vegetables in olive oil for 3-5 minutes.
Add the rice, stir and fry for another 6 minutes.
Pour in the wine and bring to a boil. Then add the squid and all the spices.
Pour in the broth and bring it to a boil again.
Cook paella 25-30 minutes on medium heat until fully cooked.
