I really like to add different root vegetables and roots to borscht, because they fit in very harmoniously here. Today we will try to diversify the traditional Ukrainian recipe with radish and celery root. And at the same time we will do without frying!
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 1 piece
- Beetroot - 2 pieces
- Bell pepper - 1 piece
- Radish - 1 piece
- Celery root - 1 piece
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Potatoes - 300 g
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tbsp.l.
- Tomato paste - 2 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the chicken until tender. Add the finely chopped potatoes and cook for another 10 minutes.
Cut the remaining vegetables into strips. Send everything to the potatoes and cook for another 20 minutes.
Season the borscht to taste, add tomato paste and cook for another 7 minutes.
