I love basil for its bright aroma and expressive taste. It's hard to find a better spice, so I add it to a wide variety of blanks. For example, the classic tomato ketchup with basil immediately plays with new colors.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 3 kg
- Bell pepper - 500 g
- Hot red pepper - 1 piece
- Onion - 500 g
- Garlic - 25 g
- Basil - 60 g
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the tomatoes.
Randomly chop all the vegetables, add garlic, a whole bunch of basil and spices.
Simmer all together on low heat for 1.5-2 hours under the lid.
Remove the basil.
Grind the ketchup with a blender, bring it to a boil again and roll it into sterilized jars.
