This is how our ancestors salted cucumbers in barrels. Without oil, without vinegar and without other additives. But even in modern realities, when there is practically no talk about barrels in the cellars, this recipe has proved itself perfectly.

Ingredients

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash cucumbers, dill and leaves, peel garlic.

Scald a large saucepan with boiling water and put everything there in layers.

Add salt, pour cucumbers with cold water and leave for 1-2 days at room temperature.

Arrange cucumbers with garlic in sterilized jars.

Bring to a boil a suitable amount of brine at the rate of 1 tablespoon of salt per 1 liter of water.

Pour the cucumbers, leave for 3 minutes, drain the brine and boil again.

Fill the jars again and roll them up. Cool the cucumbers upside down.
