Do you like homemade quince jam? Then I will share another original and not quite typical version – in Azerbaijani. Spicy and fragrant, this jam is perfect for tea, pancakes and pies.
Ingredients
- Quince - 3 kg
- Sugar - 3.5 kg
- Cinnamon - 1 tbsp.l .
- Carnation (ground) – 0.5 tsp.
- Star anise (ground) – 0.5 tsp.
- Water - 3 glasses
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the syrup from the water with sugar and spices until smooth.
Remove the middles from the quince and randomly slice the fruits.
Leave overnight and then bring to a boil.
Cook the quince for half an hour, stirring, on low heat.
Let cool and cook for another 15 minutes.
And repeat this step again.
Roll the jam into sterile jars.
