In the original, such a dish is prepared with a lot of hot pepper. I offer my own version of string beans in Armenian. It turns out to be moderately spicy and fragrant. Open a jar of such a preparation in winter, season with fresh herbs and serve.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Prepare the string beans, cut off the hard edges, slice.

Cut hot pepper in half, peel from seeds, chop.

Peel the onion from the husk and cut into half rings.

Put the onion in a preheated frying pan with butter, sprinkle with sugar and fry for 5 minutes.

Add string beans, hot pepper and cook for 15 minutes, stirring from time to time.

Add water, tomato sauce, crushed garlic, salt and simmer for another 7-10 minutes.

Spread out in prepared jars, pour a little vinegar into each one and roll it up.
