A very simple and convenient recipe for those who do not like to mess around in the kitchen for a long time. Thick jelly-five minutes of red and black currants always turns out to be perfect. The whole secret is that berries contain a lot of natural thickener.
Ingredients
- Black Currant - 1 kg
- Red currant - 1 kg
- Citric acid - 0,5 tsp.
- Sugar - 1,5 kg
- Water - 200 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Remove the red and black currants from the twigs, clean them from dry tails, rinse and put them on a towel to dry.
Chop the berries in a blender and rub through a sieve.
Mix berry puree with sugar, water and bring to a boil.
Add citric acid, boil for 5 minutes and roll up.
