Even if you don't like fresh or dried figs, I strongly advise you to try jam from it. This is a completely different, unusual and original taste. I like to eat such jam just with a spoon with strong black tea or with unsweetened coffee.
Ingredients
- Figs (dark) – 1 kg
- Water - 1 glass
- Sugar - 800 g
- Citric acid - 3 pinches
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Bring the water and sugar to a boil and boil until the syrup is smooth.
Add citric acid, stir and boil for another minute.
Wash the figs, cut off the tails, dry and put the fruits in syrup.
Cook the jam for 30-40 minutes on low heat and roll it into sterile jars.
