A popular snack with an ironic name was loved by many. In my version, the mother-in-law's eggplant tongue is prepared with tomato paste. Everyone determines the degree of sharpness of the snack independently. In addition, a lot depends on the variety of hot pepper.

Ingredients

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Cut the eggplants and pour salted water for 15 minutes.

Mince peeled garlic and bell pepper, whole pods of hot pepper.

Mix the resulting mass with tomato paste, water, sugar, butter and salt.

Boil for 5 minutes, add the eggplant and cook for another 20 minutes.

Pour in the vinegar and remove from the heat after 2 minutes.

Arrange the salad in clean, dry jars, roll it up, turn it upside down and wrap it with a thick towel.
