If you are not afraid of unusual experiments, I advise you to prepare a couple of jars of jam from pine cones. Such a blank will be useful when you want to surprise your loved ones with something new. And it's also a wonderful unobtrusive gift to friends.

Ingredients

  • Pine Cones - 500 g
  • Sugar - 800 g
  • Water - 800 ml
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp.l .

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Rinse and sort out the cones, fill with water and leave for 2-3 hours.

Cut the largest ones in half. Add sugar and water to the cones.

Bring everything to a boil and boil for 10 minutes over medium heat.

Let the cones cool completely.

Bring them to a boil again and cool again.

Bring to a boil for the third time and boil again for 10 minutes, and then cool.

For the fourth and fifth time, just bring to a boil, immediately remove from heat and cool.

Bring the jam to a boil for the sixth time, add lemon juice and roll the jam into sterile jars.

Cones can be left or removed before rolling - the cones themselves do not eat.
