With all the simplicity of cooking, this gooseberry jam with orange was called royal for a reason. You will understand everything for yourself after trying just a couple of spoonfuls of goodies. Adults and children will be just delighted. I prefer to eat such jam just with a spoon with tea.
Ingredients
- Gooseberry - 1 kg
- Water - 100 ml
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Orange - 400 g
- Ground cinnamon - 1 tsp.
- Carnation (ground) – 2 pinches
- Vanillin - 2 pinches
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop the oranges in a blender. With or without peel - to taste.
Fill the gooseberries with water, add sugar and bring to a boil.
Add the orange and boil the jam for 7 minutes.
Let it cool and boil for another 5-7 minutes. Let cool again.
Add spices, boil the jam for another 5-7 minutes and roll it into sterilized jars.
