The most unpleasant stage of preparation of blanks is their sterilization in jars. It doesn't matter if you use an oven or a pot of water. It's still long and hot, especially on summer days. Therefore, I want to tell you how to do without it, using the example of a gooseberry jam recipe.
Ingredients
- Gooseberry - 1 kg
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Water - 100 ml
- Citric acid - 0.5 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut off the gooseberry tails.
Add water and sugar, and bring to a boil.
Cook the jam for about 30 minutes on low heat. Mash or grind in the process if desired.
Add citric acid and roll the jam into clean, dry jars.
