Even if you don't like fresh gooseberries, this wonderful sweet and sour jam will definitely conquer you! For a change, I want to dilute homogeneous jams with this recipe. If desired, you can add a little vanilla right before rolling.

Ingredients

  • Gooseberry - 1 kg
  • Water - 400 ml
  • Sugar - 1 kg
  • Lemon juice - 3 tbsp.l .

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Sort and rinse the gooseberries and cut the berries in half. You can leave them intact – as you like.

Fill the gooseberries with water, add lemon juice and bring to a boil.

Boil the jam for 15 minutes on low heat, and then add sugar.

Continue to cook, stirring, until the sugar is completely dissolved – it will be another 10-15 minutes.

Pour into sterilized jars and roll up.
