Every housewife has at least once prepared healthy sea buckthorn tea. The “golden berry” is frozen and ground with sugar. And the fact that you can make delicious jam from a healing berry is illegally forgotten by many. This simple recipe will help to correct the situation.

Ingredients

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Defrost sea buckthorn in advance, rinse under running water, throw it into a colander.

Peel the ginger root and grate it on a fine grater.

Prepare the syrup: combine water and sugar in a saucepan, stir to dissolve the sugar, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat and boil the syrup for 10 minutes. In the process of cooking, add chopped ginger.

Gently combine the slightly dried sea buckthorn berries with boiling syrup, mix and boil together for 15-20 minutes. Remove the jam from the heat and leave for 2-3 hours until completely cooled.

Then put the sea buckthorn jam on the fire again, bring it to a boil again and after boiling boil over low heat for 50-60 minutes.

Pour hot sea buckthorn jam into pre-sterilized jars and seal tightly.

The finished jam from the “golden berry” is quietly stored in a cool dark place for a long time (from six months to 10 months) and is ideal as an independent delicacy, the basis for various drinks (jelly, fruit drinks), as well as as an impregnation for your delicious pies and cakes.
