In order for apple jam to acquire a brighter taste and aroma, and at the same time preserve its color better, I add citrus fruits to it. It's tastier to take both lemon and orange at the same time. But if you use them with the peel, first wash them thoroughly and pour boiling water over them.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Thinly slice all the fruits. With a peel or not - optional.
Cover with sugar and leave for 4-6 hours or overnight.
Bring the jam to a boil and cook for half an hour on low heat.
Roll it up in sterilized jars.
