I very often add lemon to any jam and jams. Firstly, it removes the cloying sweetness of some blanks. Secondly, it gives a stunning citrus aroma. And the taste of berries, like gooseberries, reveals itself in combination with lemon even better.
Ingredients
- Gooseberry - 1.2 kg
- Lemon - 2 pieces
- Sugar - 1-1.5 kg
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Sort out the gooseberries and cut off the tails.
Scald the lemons with boiling water, cut and remove the bones.
Put everything through a meat grinder and add sugar.
Bring the mass to a boil and cook the jam for 40 minutes on low heat.
Roll it up in sterile jars.
