Apricots in syrup are one of my favorite preparations. I use fruits for pies and other desserts, and also add them to fruit salads. I like to soak cakes with syrup for cakes. In general, there are a lot of use cases, I advise you to try it!
Ingredients
- Apricots (net weight, pitted) – 1.5 kg
- Sugar - 400 g
- Water - 1 l
- Lemon juice - 1,5 tbsp.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the apricots, peel them, break them in half and remove the seeds.
In a cooking bowl, heat up the water, add sugar, warm up, stirring, until completely dissolved.
Put apricot slices in the syrup, add lemon juice. Gently stir and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
Place the hot apricot slices in pre-sterilized jars (not reaching the top of the jar), cover with lids.
Bring the syrup to a boil again, remove from heat.
Pour boiling syrup over the fruit in jars to the top, roll up, turn upside down and cool. Store jars with cooled billets in a cool, dark place.
