Fill the cleaned fish with water and boil for half an hour on low heat. Remove the salmon from the pan and return it before serving. Strain the broth.
Cut the potatoes, chop the cabbage and boil everything in the broth for 15 minutes.
Grate the carrots and beets, chop the onion and simmer all together for 10 minutes in a frying pan.
Add the chopped tomato and garlic there, simmer for another 5 minutes, season and transfer the dressing to the soup.
Cook the borscht for about 10 more minutes.
