Continuing the theme of vegetable preparations for the winter, I hasten to share with you the recipe of the Danube salad. To prepare it, you will need the same standard set of vegetables: cabbage, bell peppers, tomatoes, carrots and onions.
Ingredients
- Cabbage - 500 g
- Bell pepper - 500 g
- Tomatoes - 500 g
- Carrots - 200 g
- Onion - 200 g
- Garlic - 100 g
- Vegetable oil - 3 art.l.
- Vinegar - 3 art.l.
- A mixture of peppers with peas - 0,5 tsp.
- Sugar - 100 g
- Salt - 60 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Prepare and chop the vegetables.
Mix everything in a deep saucepan, add sugar, salt and butter. Cover with a lid and leave for 3 hours.
Rub the pepper mixture in a mortar and pour it into a saucepan with vegetables.
Boil everything together for 15 minutes, pour in the vinegar and immediately remove from the heat.
Arrange the hot salad in sterilized jars, roll up and turn upside down.
