The variety of preparations for the winter is much more than it seems at first glance. Do not limit yourself to jam, compote and canned vegetables. I suggest such an interesting option – pea soup made from dried peas.
Ingredients
- Peas - 200 g
- Bell pepper - 300 g
- Carrots - 200 g
- Onion - 200 g
- Allspice - 8 peas
- Sugar - 3 tbsp.l.
- Salt - 3 tbsp.l.
- Vinegar - 40 ml
- Water - 1 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Soak the peas for a couple of hours.
Finely chop all the vegetables.
Fry the onion, add the carrots, and after 5 minutes - pepper.
Fry for another 5 minutes and remove from heat.
Fill the peas with water and cook for 40 minutes after boiling. Add sugar, salt, pepper and vinegar.
Add the vegetables and cook for another 10 minutes.
Roll the pea soup into sterile jars.
