Avoiding fried food? Then this pea soup recipe is just for you! It should be cooked in a strong vegetable broth, and at the end add a piece of butter. But if you exclude the last point, you will get an interesting dietary option!
Ingredients
- Peas (dry) – 300 g
- Potatoes - 300 g
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
- Butter - 50 g
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable broth - 2 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Rinse the peas thoroughly, fill with cold water and leave for 2 hours.
Rinse the peas again and pour them into a saucepan with boiling broth. Cook for 1.5 hours over low heat.
Peel the potatoes and cut into small cubes.
Pour potatoes and bay leaf into a saucepan with peas and cook for another 15 minutes.
Add butter, salt and remove from heat. Infuse the soup under the lid for 20 minutes.
Ready pea soup can be served on the table. Enjoy your meal!
