For this recipe, I advise you to choose a small sweet carrot. In stores, it is most often sold in packages marked "baby". It goes much better and more harmoniously with almonds in such an unusual Jewish tzimes.
Ingredients
- Carrots (baby) – 800 g
- Raisins - 1 glass
- Almonds - 1 glass
- Olive oil - 2 tbsp.l .
- Honey - 2 art.l.
- Hot red pepper - 2 pinches
- Brown Sugar - 2 art.l.
- Salt - 0.5 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Fry the carrots in olive oil for a couple of minutes. Add the almonds and fry for a couple more minutes.
Add the raisins, pour in 100 ml of water and bring everything to a boil.
Add sugar, honey, salt and pepper, and simmer the cymes over low heat for about 45 minutes.
