Dessert recipe appeared in India in the XVI century. Then milk had to be boiled in a cauldron over a fire, and ice was brought from the Himalayan Mountains to cool. Fortunately, everything is much simpler now, so Indian kulfi ice cream can be easily prepared by anyone.
Ingredients
- Milk - 1,5 l
- Sugar - 150 g
- Pistachios - 100 g
- Cardamom - 0,5 tsp.
- Chicory - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pour the milk into a saucepan with a thick bottom and boil over low heat for two hours.
Add cardamom, chicory, sugar and boil the mass for another 5 minutes.
Chop the pistachios in a blender.
Mix the nuts with the milk preparation and cool to room temperature. Pour into a mold and put in the freezer for 1 hour.
Take the ice cream out of the freezer, beat it with a mixer and put it back in the cold for 1 hour. Repeat the procedure again.
After that, spread the workpiece into portion molds, insert a stick into each. Put the kulfi ice cream in the freezer for 5 hours.
