There are salads that you want to cook for any occasion. In my family, they include herring under a fur coat made of melted cheese. We really liked this amazing combination of fish, vegetables and cheese. I am happy to share with you a wonderful recipe.
Ingredients
- Herring (low salt) – 1 piece
- Potatoes (boiled) – 300 g
- Beetroot (boiled) – 200 g
- Processed cheese - 2 pieces
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 3 pieces
- Carrots (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Mayonnaise - 180 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the herring from the skin and fins, gut and cut into small cubes.
Grate potatoes, beets, carrots on a coarse grater, eggs and cheese on a fine one. Peel and slice the onion.
Put a layer of potatoes on a wide dish, season with salt, pepper and smear with mayonnaise.
Add herring, onion, carrot, sprinkle with salt and pepper again and smear with mayonnaise.
Spread beetroot and eggs mixed with cheese on top.
Send the finished salad to the refrigerator for 2 hours so that all the ingredients are soaked.
