Do you want to treat your family with an unusual treat? Prepare the air rice! It is not only served as a dessert, but also used in various confectionery products. For cooking, you will need rice, water and odorless oil.

Ingredients

  • Steamed rice - 160 g
  • Water - 800 ml
  • Vegetable oil (odorless) – 200 ml

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Rinse the rice under running water, put it in a saucepan, pour cold water and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and cook for 25-30 minutes.

Put the finished rice in a colander and rinse thoroughly again.

Put the rice on a paper or cloth towel and blot with napkins. Dry the rice for half an hour.

Put the rice on a baking sheet covered with parchment and send it to the oven preheated to 100 degrees for 2 hours. Stir the rice several times with a wooden spatula.

In a deep saucepan, heat the vegetable oil well.

Pour in a small amount of rice and, as soon as it bursts, catch it with a slotted spoon. Repeat the procedure with the rest of the rice.

Put the finished rice on a paper napkin to remove excess oil. Serve with honey or caramel to your taste.
