I love cooking traditional Japanese dishes, especially mochi – it's such a light and delicious dessert made of rice flour! Today I decided to share with you my recipe for mochi, which is very simple and quick to cook. You will definitely get a delicate and fragrant dessert!
Ingredients
- Water - 180 ml
- Rice flour - 100 g
- Powdered sugar - 100 g
- Corn Starch - 80 g
- Mascarpone - 180 g
- Fruits (or berries) – 1-2 handfuls
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Mix water with rice flour and half of powdered sugar until smooth. Add food coloring in the process if desired.
Cover the bowl with a film, pierce a couple of holes with a needle and send it to the microwave for a minute at medium power.
Mix the mass, cover it with a film too and send it for another 40-60 seconds.
Whisk mascarpone with the remaining powdered sugar.
Sprinkle the table with starch, roll out the dough thinly and cut into circles.
Put on each cheese cream and a slice of fruit or berries.
Form a mochi. Send them to the refrigerator for half an hour.
