"Capercaillie's nest" is usually cooked with chicken and fried potatoes, but recently I tried it with cheese and ham. A very tasty combination! Traditionally, the salad is decorated in the form of a slide and decorated with quail eggs.
Ingredients
For Salad:
- Ham - 200 g
- Cucumbers - 200 g
- Onion - 1 piece
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 3 pieces
- Salt - to taste
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Mayonnaise - 150 ml
For decoration:
- Quail Eggs - 3 pieces
- Cheddar Cheese - 100 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut cucumbers, ham, peeled onions and chicken eggs into small cubes.
Grate the Cheddar cheese on a fine grater. Peel the quail eggs from the shell.
Mix ham, chicken eggs, onion and cucumbers.
Add salt, ground pepper, mayonnaise and mix gently.
Lay out the salad with a slide, sprinkle grated cheese over the entire surface.
Make a small recess in the center and put quail eggs there.
