I love pastille because it can be made from almost any fruit. For example, yellow plum is ideal for this task, because it is naturally rich in pectin. The process itself is extremely simple, although it requires a decent amount of time to dry.
Ingredients
- Plums (yellow) – 1 kg
- Water - 1 glass
- Sugar (or sweetener) – 1 glass
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Fill the drain with water, boil until soft for 10-15 minutes and rub through a sieve.
Add sugar or sweetener to taste.
Boil the puree for another 5 minutes and pour a thin layer on the parchment.
Dry the pastille in the dryer according to the instructions or in the slightly open oven for about 4-5 hours at 80 degrees.
Cut the pastille.
