If you love sushi, but don't know how to cook them, I suggest you start small. This is a very simple and quick recipe from the available ingredients, which even a novice cook can easily cope with. And only then you can move on to the complex masterpieces of Japanese cuisine.
Ingredients
- Round rice (for sushi) – 250 g
- Water - 450 ml
- Rice vinegar - 2 tbsp.l .
- Sugar - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Seaweed (nori) – 4 of the sheet
- Cucumbers - 100 g
- Crab sticks - 50 g
- Cream cheese - 80 g
- Capelin caviar (or tobiko) – 2 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil water, pour rice into it and boil for 10 minutes. Then turn off the heat and leave it to reach under the lid and towel.
Mix rice vinegar, salt and sugar, and heat the mixture slightly until dissolved. Add it to the rice and mix thoroughly.
Cut the cucumbers into long thin strips.
Wrap the roll-up mat with a film so that you don't have to clean it from rice later. Put the nori leaf up with the rough side.
Spread the rice over the nori sheet in a thin layer, not reaching a couple of centimeters to one edge.
Lay out the cucumber strips and crab sticks, and spread some caviar and cream cheese on top.
Twist a tight long roll and gently press it with a mat. Before that, you can slightly moisten the free edge of the nori so that it sticks itself.
Cut the rolls with a sharp knife dipped in water.
