A traditional Japanese dish in its purpose resembles a sandwich or a pie with a filling. Everyone can cook onigiri at home, which do not differ in taste qualities from those served in Japanese restaurants. Using this recipe you will definitely surprise your guests and loved ones.

Boil the rice. When the rice cools down a little, add vinegar to it and mix thoroughly.

To prepare the filling, cut the fillet of lightly salted salmon into small pieces and mix it with cream cheese.

Make a ball with your hands, constantly squeezing the rice. So it won't fall apart. Make a hole in the center of the ball and put some filling there. Form a ball, oval or triangle of rice.

Decorate the onigiri with sesame seeds and wrap with a Nori leaf. Serve with soy sauce, ginger and wasabi.
