Onigiri with canned tuna for me is a quick and satisfying snack that is easy to prepare and can even be taken with you on the road.
Ingredients
- Fig - 180 g
- Tuna - 200 g
- Nori - 2 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 2 tbsp.l
- Green onion - 1 bundle
- Soy sauce - 2 art.l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Start by cooking rice. Rinse the rice to clear water. Pour 2 cups of water and put it on a high heat. Cook for 15 minutes until fully cooked. Set aside for 10 minutes, and at this time prepare the filling.
Prepare the filling. Finely chop the onion, drain the excess liquid from the canned tuna and mix everything with mayonnaise.
Form onigiri. To do this, take some rice in the palm of your hand and make a flatbread out of it. Put a little filling in the middle and roll it into a ball. Make a triangle out of the ball and wrap it in a strip of nori leaf.
Put the finished onigiri on a plate and pour soy sauce on top.
