Mukhammara is something between a snack and a mashed sauce. It can be served in different ways: as a spread on sandwiches, as an independent dish or as a side dish to meat. The paste-like consistency allows you to experiment with the presentation.
Ingredients
- Bell pepper - 4 pieces
- Chili pepper - 4 pieces
- Garlic - 0.5 heads
- Lemon juice - 3 tbsp.l .
- Wine vinegar - 2 art.l.
- Olive oil - 100 ml
- Sesame oil - 30 ml
- Nuts - 100 g
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wrap the pepper in foil and bake in the oven at 180 degrees. Bulgarian for about 35 minutes, and chili for about 10. Bake garlic in the same way for 10 minutes.
Peel the pepper from the skin and seeds. Chop it with garlic in a blender.
Separately chop the nuts into fine crumbs and add them to the same place.
Add vinegar, lemon juice, sesame oil and spices to taste. Interrupt again.
Add olive oil to the desired consistency.
