Onigiri with tuna and mayonnaise is exactly the dish that I cook if I want something similar to sushi, but to make it easier to prepare. Sometimes I take to work, cook for guests or to have something to chew in front of the TV in the evening.
Ingredients
- Fig - 200 g
- Nori - 2 pieces
- Tuna - 150 g
- Green onion - 1 bundle
- Mayonnaise - 50 g
- Soy sauce - 2 art.l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the rice, because this is the main component. To do this, first rinse it under running water, and then fill it with water, put it on fire and cook for 20 minutes. When the rice is cooked, add a little salt to it and set aside.
Preparing the filling. For the filling, I take lightly salted tuna. Cut the tuna into small cubes, cut the onion into thin rings. Mix tuna, onion and mayonnaise.
Form onigiri. To do this, take a small portion of rice, roll a ball and make a flatbread. Put the filling in the middle of the tortilla and roll it into a ball. You can leave the ball, but the original onigiri are triangles of rice. Wrap with a strip of nori and serve with soy sauce.
