Pickled daikon is adored even by those who can't stand the usual radish. It has a pleasant crispy texture and an unusual sweet taste. The perfect complement for Japanese rolls! And it does not matter if they are with fish or, for example, with boiled carrots.
Ingredients
- Round rice - 150 g
- Water - 300 ml
- Rice vinegar - 2 tbsp.l .
- Sugar - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Carrots - 80 g
- Daikon (pickled) – 80 g
- Cucumbers - 1 piece
- Nori - 4 sheet
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the rice in boiling water until tender and season with vinegar, sugar and salt.
Separately boil or bake the carrots and cut them into cubes together with the daikon.
Cut the cucumber into thin strips.
Put a layer of rice on the nori sheets, not reaching the edge. On one side, put the vegetable filling on it.
Shape the rolls with a mat and cut with a sharp knife dipped in water.
